Iced Tea Dance

The Iced Tea Dance benefiting the Abzyme Reaserach Foundation raised over $20,000 on Saturday January 26, 2013 which marked the completion of the $50,000 campaign to raise the funding required to launch this vaccine into human trial and complete the initial step of FDA filing.

The Après Ski themed event garnered the warm and cozy feel of a lodge in Aspen, and did not skim on the aesthetics. Upon entry to the function, its guests were greeted by friendly faces wearing puffy vests and fur hats, a warm fireplace, and handed snow cones that enticed your taste-buds. The ceilings adorned with pinecones led the way through the arctic chill to comfy benches adorned with plush blankets and luxurious winter white fur throws.

This event not only embraced the charitable spirit it embraced the celebration of the progress that the foundation has made, truly living up to its mission statement “dedicated to eradicating HIV/AIDS in our lifetime. We believe that further advancement of abzyme technology could produce the world’s first effective therapeutic HIV vaccine, potentially providing accessible treatment for over 33 million HIV-positive people worldwide.”
