Chanel's Hula Hoop Bag

Chanel's Spring 2013 show debuted the Hula Hoop Bag as an accessory on the runway. Designer Karl Lagerfield explained to Daily Telegraph, “It’s for the beach. You need space for the beach towel. And then you can put it into the sand and hang things on it." The Hula Hoop Bag receive so much attention on social media networks, such as Instagram and Twitter, the bag that was only used for the show will now be available for sell for Chanel's Spring 2013 collection. It is rumored that the mini quilted bag shown in the above photo on the right will retail for $2,400. Interesting bag...What are your thoughts on this bag?

Emerging Artists Unite

Just Four days ago, many gathered around the turkey with family and friends to give thanks. Some laughed uncontrollable at the corny jokes told by their uncle year and year again and watched their younger brothers and sisters do the latest dance moves, while others gathered with friends for drinks and companionship. Though many people went without food on this day and throughout the year, City Harvest has had its hand in preventing more than one million New Yorkers from going hungry.

On Tuesday November 27, 2012, New York City's Fashion Designers, Accessory Designers, and Musical Artists will team up with Open Closet Magazine to host "Emerging Artists Unite,” a Charity Showcase benefiting City Harvest. This event will feature raffles, and performances by NYC Emerging as well as appearances. The event will be held at Taj Restaurant & Lounge, located at 48 West 21st Street New York, NY 10010 from 7pm-11pm. General admission tickets will be sold at the door for $10. In addition, to the Showcase, a Food Drive will be held in which attendants can donate non-perishable items.

Hope to see you there, but if you’re in the spirit of giving but not available to attend this function please visit http://www.cityharvest.org/ for more options on donating food and possibly even starting your own food drive.
